Southwestern Animal Rescue is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding suitable homes for animals that would otherwise be left homeless or euthanized. Our goal is to save as many horses, mules and donkeys from slaughter as possible and rescue dogs that are frequently abandoned in the desert. Beyond rescuing animals we strongly believe in community partnerships. By partnering with local veterinarians, we have been able to bring free to low cost services in our rural community making veterinary care more easily accessible.
OUR MISSION
Helping Animals At Risk
Southwestern Animal Rescue is a veteran founded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing animals from at risk situations. Our focus involves saving horses, mules and donkeys from facing slaughter, abandonment and neglect. We are also determined to reduce the stray population seen in our community by saving dogs that are frequently found abandoned in the desert. Along with advocating for the welfare of animals, we are dedicated to providing resources for pet owners to have easily accessible and affordable veterinary care.

REHABILITATION
One Step at a Time
Here at Southwestern Animal Rescue we are committed to rehabilitating sick, injured or neglected animals. Often times this means providing additional veterinary care and training to successfully rehab the animals. We are committed to the rehabilitation process - no matter the length of time.
